No, I Do Not Use Deodorant

Body odor is never an issue for me (knock on wood!).  I do not wear deodorant.  I did at some point in my very early teens because I thought it was the right thing to do.  I only did it for a couple of months and it simply annoyed me.  It is just another annoying addition to my long morning ritual.  If I forget and apply it after I have already put my top on, it leaves funny white marks at odd places.  It takes me a while to wash it off in the shower.  My time in the water is long enough as it is, spending ten minutes on my armpits is just too much.

After a while, it occurred to me, I was fine before I started using deodorant.  No matter how much I sweat, my smell never changed, I still smell like – skin.  I know this because when I went off the deodorant, I would go to the washroom whenever I feel my armpits are damp and sniff.  Immaculate.  I went as far as asking my mum to do the sniffing for me at some point and my mother does not lie.
